FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - Frisco ISD students and parents pleaded with the city's Planning and Zoning Commission Tuesday night to reject a plan by Oncor to put an electricity substation close to their homes.
The substation would support the 91-acre development where the Dallas Cowboys are building their new team headquarters and practice facility called The Star.
"We feel like Jerry Jones and a lot of their plans have been in place for a while we were left in the dark," said Frisco resident Darren Hagarty.
Oncor spokesperson Kris Spears said, "There is no conspiracy what this is about is supporting the infrastructure the vitality and the economic development of the City of Frisco."
About a dozen people went before the Planning and Zoning Commission to tell members they thing the substation should be on the Cowboys' property.
The P & Z Commission did not make a decision Tuesday night.
