Free Friday "Mother's Day Edition"
DFW (CBS 11) - How about if your kids make your Mother's Day meal for free? This Side Up Family Center in Plano is having a Family Free Night – Mother's Day. Chef Scott of 1st Class Kids will teach kids how to make an Italian meal including dessert. "We'll be making fresh gnocchi and we'll also be making pastry cups filled with chocolate ganache." Plus, every mom leaves with a special gift.
What about culture-minded moms who prefer a day at the museum? Mom's get free admission at the Frontiers of Flight Museum on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and at the National Cowgirl Museum in Ft Worth from noon to 5 p.m.
Chair Art In The Park at Klyde Warren Park offers fun for the entire family. Chairs created by middle school and high school students will be on display for silent auction. Five chairs were chosen for the live auction from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. All the money from both auctions will go to the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center. The silent auction starts at 11 a.m.
The Aqua-Fit Swim & Fitness Family Wellness Center in Plano is hosting their first Summer Safety Fair. Kids of all ages will learn valuable lessons about water safety. The event is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
