Four Area Teams Play For State Boys Basketball Titles

AUSTIN (CBSDFW.COM) - All-American Marcus Smart scored 23 points to lead defending Class 5A state champion Flower Mound Marcus back to the UIL basketball state championship game for the third straight year.

The Marauders raced to as much as a 17 point 2nd quarter lead to defeat Garland Naaman Forest, 59-34 in Friday night's state semifinals in Austin.

Marcus is one of four Dallas-Fort Worth area schools that will play for state championships on Saturday.

Class 5A
8:30 p.m. – Flower Mound Marcus vs. Fort Bend Travis

Class 4A
3:30 p.m. – Dallas Kimball vs. Houston Yates

Class 3A
10:00 a.m. – Argyle vs. Corpus Christi Miller

Class 2A
2:00 p.m. – Brock vs. White Oak
