FORT WORTH (AP) - A new resident of the Fort Worth Zoo has a big heart and it's on her neck.

Zoo spokeswoman Alexis Wilson says the giraffe born Jan. 11 has drawn attention, with Saturday being Valentine's Day, for a particular marking.

Wilson said Wednesday that the animal, which has yet to be named, has a prominent heart shaped-spot on her lower neck. Officials weren't aware of the spot until recent images by a zoo photographer showed the marking.

Wilson says the giraffe at birth was 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighed 132 pounds. Wilson says the young giraffe went on public exhibit last week, is doing well and starting to venture farther away from her mother in the yard.

The Fort Worth Zoo now has seven giraffes.
