Fort Worth Woman Shot Dead In Her Garage
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Fort Worth police are working to sort through the details in the death of a woman shot in her garage Sunday evening.
The shooting happened in the 3500 block of Saint Vincent Road on Fort Worth's southwest side.
The woman had just returned from the store, was walking into her garage when a vehicle pulled up, a man yelled at her and then opened fire.
"When officers arrived on the scene they did observe a white female receiving medical attention," explained Fort Worth Police Officer Sharron Neal. "The victim was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased from a gunshot wound to the chest."
The identity of the victim has not been released. Neal says investigators don't know if the woman knew the gunman.
The investigation into the shooting and search for the gunman continues.
