FORT WORTH (KRLD-AM) - The serial robbers who are terrorizing Fort Worth businesses struck another one early Thursday morning.
Police say the robbers hit a 7-Eleven on Oakmont Boulevard at Bryant Irvin Road.
This is the 14th convenience store robbery in the city since May 1, and Fort Worth Police Detective Brian Raynsford says he believes the same people are involved.
"One of the suspects matching the description of the other robberies entered the store, produced a handgun and demanded cash from the clerk," Det. Raynsford said.
No shots were fired.
Raynsford says unlike the previous 13 robberies that happened between 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., this one happened just before 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
"It appears that they may have been paying attention to the news media and have changed their MO slightly," Raynsford said.
Police say they have no tips and no leads on the robbery spree.
"At this point, we haven't received any tips from the news media coverage," said Raynsford. "We're hoping that that will change shortly."
