Fort Worth Police Shoot Georgia Sex Assault Suspect
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A man wanted in connection to a sexual assault of a child case in Georgia is dead after barricading himself in a Fort Worth house Tuesday night.
The unidentified suspect was shot after pointing a gun at officers at a house in the 2000 block of Williams Place near Northeast 28th Street between Sylvania Avenue and Beech Street.
Fort Worth officers were called in to assist the U.S. Marshal's Task Force with arresting the man, wanted in Georgia for Sexual Assault of a Child and Enticing a Child. When the man barricaded himself in the home the Fort Worth SWAT team was called in.
Around 7:30 Tuesday the man walked out of the back of the house armed, that's when he was shot by the officers.
The case is still under investigation.
