Fort Worth Police Seek Bank Robbery Suspect

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Fort Worth are hoping that the public can help them track down a bank robbery suspect.

The robbery took place shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon at the Frost Bank located in the 3800 block of Northeast Loop 820, in the northern part of the city.

According to authorities, a white male around 50 to 70 years old walked into the bank and used a note to demand money from a teller. The teller complied with the suspect's demands and left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect has been described as being about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 to 170 pounds. He was last spotted wearing a multicolored long-sleeve plaid shirt, blue jeans, dark sunglasses and a Dallas Mavericks cap. He fled from the scene in a black car.

Law enforcement officials have released a series of surveillance camera photos that show the suspect inside of the bank.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Fort Worth Police Department at 817-989-3317. Tipsters can also contact Crime Stoppers online or at 817-469-TIPS to remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 will be offered for anyone who provides tips that lead to an arrest.
