FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) — Fort Worth police are asking for the public's help finding a robbery suspect.

Police say the suspect stole a woman's purse while she was getting into her car at the Eagle Base Convenience Store at 6800 Bowman Roberts Rd. around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6. The suspect came up behind her and took her purse, throwing her to the ground, according to the department. Her injuries were not life-threatening.

The suspect got into a car parked down the street and fled, police say. Detectives think at least three other people were in the car.

Police describe the suspect as a 25- to 30-year-old black man who is about 5-foot-11 and 175 to 200 pounds. They say the car was a white, four-door, late-model sedan, possibly a Hyundai.

Those with information are asked to call 911, Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS or Detective M.R. Ramirez at 817-392-4377 or go to www.469tips.com. Police say tipsters through Crime Stoppers can stay anonymous, and a reward up to $1,000 will be offered to anyone who gives a tip that leads to an arrest for a crime or a criminal case cleared.
