Shooting At Fort Worth Dance Studio Leaves Two Dead, Several Injured

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Two young men were killed and five people were hospitalized after a shooting outside a Fort Worth non-profit dance studio early Saturday.
The owner of Studio 74 off of East Lancaster Ave said no one had a permit to have a party at the studio, but investigators say people were having a party inside the studio when a fight broke-out.
When the fight spilled out into the parking lot, witnesses say multiple shots were fired.
Treavon Lewis, 22, and Jordan Larkin, 18 were killed.
Larkin's family said Larkin had just graduated North Crowley High School.
Lewis' mother, Kizzy, said she warned her son about the hanging out with the wrong crowd.
"I preached it to my son," said Kizzy Lewis. "I am just so tired of this gun violence. I'm just so tired of people not understanding."
The owner of Studio 74, Laura Reyna, said her studio is supposed to be a safe-haven for hip-hop dancers and musician.
"I'm kind of like a mom here," Reyna said. "It just blows me away that something like this could happen in a place of refuge."
Reyna said she worried some of her dancers will now be reluctant to come.
No arrests in the shooting have been made.
The Fort Worth Police Department is asking for anyone who witnessed the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477.
