Fort Worth Police Kill Dog Attacking Man
FORT WORTH (AP) — Fort Worth police say they've shot and killed a dog that was attacking a man.
Police spokesman Capt. Charles Ramirez says 18-year-old Estrado Alfono was treated for injuries suffered early Friday when he was attacked by three mix bull mixes.
One dog was shot. The two others were taken away by animal control officers.
A police report shows the 61-year-old owner of the dogs has been issued citations by animal control officers.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports it's the second time in a week police have shot attacking dogs. On Tuesday, three pit bull mixes were killed after attacking a man and his daughter.
