Fort Worth Police Investigate Shooting Death Of 17-Year-Old

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Fort Worth police are investigating the death of a 17-year-old male after responding to a shooting call early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the 3400 block of Stonewall Lane in South Fort Worth at approximately 2:13 a.m.

According to police, when officers arrived, they found the victim in the driveway of the residence with an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 17-year-old Demarian Jones.

Investigators said Jones and a friend were in the driveway of his house when a man walked by and shot the 17-year-old.

Investigators do not know whether an altercation occurred before the shooting.

Police are still searching for a suspect.
