Fort Worth PD Search For Bank Robbery Suspect
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – Police are searching for a man who robbed the First Convenience Bank inside an east Fort Worth Kroger on Wednesday.
Fort Worth Police Department spokesman Daniel Segura said the man visited the bank inside the grocery store at 6650 Beach St. and made a transaction at about 2:10 p.m.
He came back an hour later. Segura said the man made the bank teller "fear for her life" as he demanded cash. The suspect did not have a weapon but "his demeanor and verbal threat placed that victim in fear," Segura said in an email.
The teller handed it over, and the man darted out Kroger's sliding doors.
Segura said the suspect, pictured above in a security video capture, is a black man in his early thirties who stands between 5'8'' and 5'9''.
Anyone who can help Fort Worth police identify him is asked to call Det. Michael Baggott at 817.989.3330 or Crime Stoppers at 817.459.8477. All tips are anonymous, and Segura said they "may result in a reward."
