Fort Worth Officer Injured In Crash

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) -- Two people, including a Fort Worth Police officer, are recovering this morning after a crash on Beach Street near Interstate 820 early Tuesday morning.
Beach Street was closed for several hours as crews worked to remove the vehicles. The roadway is now open.
The patrol car ended up on its side in a field, while the other vehicle had heavy damage to its front.
Medstar rushed the officer and the other driver to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. Both victims are expected to recover fully.
Police say the officer was responding to a chase when he crashed into the other vehicle.
