Police: Military Veteran Found Shot To Death

Fort Worth Police are investigating the shooting death of a military veteran whose body was found in the parking lot of K&K Liquor in the 5100 block of East Rosedale Street early Sunday morning.  The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has identified the victim as 51-year-old Lawrence Millender of Fort Worth, an Air Force Staff Sergeant who served 16 years and toured around the world. Millender got married only 5 months ago and was going to school to counsel soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. No arrests have been made in the case.
