Fort Worth Arson Investigators Search For Suspect In Donation Center Fire

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) -- Fort Worth police are looking for a suspect who is alleged to have started a fire at the Northside Inter-Community Agency at 1600 Circle Park Blvd. on August 4. The fire occurred in buildings used to collect and store donations for the needy.
Surveillance video released by the Fort Worth Fire Department shows a suspect -- who is accompanied by a small child -- go through some donated items outside of a storage building at the location at about 9:22pm that evening. Officials said in the video, the suspect can be seen going around the corner of the storage building. The child appears to get back into the vehicle shortly thereafter and the vehicle departs. Then, about a minute later, the building appears to be on fire.
Officials did not say if the suspect got back in the vehicle or if another person may have been driving.
Officials said the vehicle is believed to be a light colored four door Chevrolet SUV, possibly a Trailblazer.
A spokesperson for NICA told CBS DFW that there were two metal buildings caught fire. They said the buildings were holding areas for donations and that they contained boxes of donated goods described as "mostly clothes."
Arson Investigators are asking for assistance in identifying those responsible for this crime and ask anyone with information to call 817-392-6852/6230.
NICA says on their website that their mission is to prevent poverty by helping people in need help themselves and their neighbors.
