Former President George H.W. Bush Turns 89
COLLEGE STATION (AP) - Happy birthday to former President George H.W. Bush of Houston.
Bush turned 89 on Wednesday.
The 41st president in recent years has marked his birthday with stunts such as skydiving.
But Bush has had medical issues and spent nearly two months in a Houston hospital with a bronchitis-related cough before being discharged in January.
A Bush spokesman says the former president will celebrate with his family at their summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine. Bush's wife, Barbara, turned 88 years old last Saturday. Relatives will help the couple mark both birthdays.
