North Texas Football Player Sets One-Handed Catch World Record

FLOWER MOUND (CBSDFW.COM) - Kaden Smith single handily is changing the approach to preparing for football practices at Flower Mound Marcus High School.

"Sometimes when we're just messing around, I do one handed catches with friends but I don't practice it too much," Smith admitted.

He may not practice catching one handed much, but obviously, he practices it enough.

"We've kind of gotten numb to him making one-handed catches because he does it so often," confirmed FM Marcus Head Coach Gerry Stanford.

The Flower Mound Marcus High School Tight End set the Guiness World record for most one handed catches in a minute, breaking the mark held by New York Giants Receiver Odell Beckham Junior.

Beckham caught 33 passes one handed in January.

Last week, Smith smashed the record with 46 catches in a minute, telling CBS 11 Sports "It wasn't too difficult."

Smith vows it could have been more, if they did not run out of footballs during the attempt.
