Florida Up Next For Top-Seeded Lady Bears
BOWLING GREEN, OH (AP) - The Florida women were a motivated bunch when they faced Ohio State in the first round of the NCAA tournament, feeling overlooked against the Buckeyes.
After winning that game, the Gators will face perhaps the nation's most formidable team in round two Tuesday night. Florida (20-12) meets top-seeded Baylor (35-0) in the Des Moines Regional.
Center Azania Stewart has the difficult task of matching up against Baylor's 6-foot-8 Brittney Griner. Stewart, who has played internationally for Britain, says she's faced similar competition in the past and won't be fazed.
The Lady Bears haven't lost since falling in the quarterfinals of last year's tournament. They routed UC Santa Barbara on Sunday.
