Firefighters Called To Downtown Building Fire
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Firefighters responded to an overnight fire at a residential building in downtown Dallas Sunday.
According to Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans, firefighters were called to the Mercantile Lofts located at 1800 Main Street around 1:40 a.m.
Where firefighters arrived at the scene the building had been evacuated. Smoke could reportedly be seen coming from the 19th floor of the building.
Firefighters found a small fire in a one-bedroom apartment.
Investigators determined the smoke came from a plastic decoration that was left on the electric kitchen stove while one of its burners was on.
There have been no reports of any injuries.
