Final Four Court Makes Tour En Route To Houston

AMASA, MI (AP) - The Michigan-made portable maple court for men's college basketball's Final Four is going to be making a week-long tour on its way to Houston.

Connor Sport Court International says the floor will be at its Salt Lake City headquarters on Friday for a "Final Four Sports Fair'' before hitting the road.

Stops for the truck hauling the court tentatively are Monday at Oklahoma State University, Tuesday at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Wednesday at University of Texas at Austin and Thursday at Houston locations including NASA's Johnson Space Center.

The floor is made at Connor Sport Court's plant in Amasa, located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It's scheduled to be installed March 25 at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

The plant also made the court for the women's Final Four in Indianapolis.
