Final Day For Early Voting Across Texas

AUSTIN (AP) - Voters have a final day to cast ballots early for Tuesday's election on nine proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution.

Early voting ends Friday.

Texans on Oct. 21 began casting their ballots early on measures including a plan to use $2 billion from the state's Rainy Day fund to finance major water infrastructure projects.

Gov. Rick Perry on Wednesday voted early in Austin in the first statewide election with photo identification requirements for in-person voting, with seven forms of ID accepted. Common forms include a Texas driver's license, a U.S. military identification card or a passport.

Perry said he cast his ballot without any problems.
