District Attorney And State Judge Feud Escalates
Their feud is getting worse now that Collin County's District Attorney says he won't even bother submitting cases to a grand jury once supervised by state District Judge Suzanne Wooten. D.A. John Roach also says some 100 cases where that grand jury handed up indictments will be submitted to a new grand jury. There's been bad blood between Wooten and Roach for some time. Roach says his office has, for the past year, been investigating Wooten for reported campaign law violations. On the other hand, the current grand jury, has requested a special prosecutor to look into "...possible criminal wrong-doing..." in Roach's office. Roach claims Wooten stacked the grand jury with her own backers in order to carry out what he considers a "...vendetta..." against him.
