FBI Seeks "Bulls Cap Bandits"
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The Dallas FBI Violent Crimes Task Force and local law enforcement authorities are asking for the public's assistance to identify suspects believed to be responsible for robbing as many as fifteen area businesses since December 14, 2013. Investigators continue to review similar offenses in order to determine if they may also be related, according to a press release.
The robberies happened in Dallas, Garland, Mesquite and Sunnyvale between December 14, 2013 and March 7, 2014. The suspects entered the businesses through the front doors, displayed handguns, and verbally demanded cash, cigarettes and/or other store merchandise. The armed men threatened employees with violence and were forceful in their instructions to comply with their demands. But they haven't harmed anyone to date, during the robberies.
The suspects are described as two, and up to as many as four, black males, possibly in their 20s. One of the suspects is approximately 5'6" - 5'9" tall, with a thin build, weighs approximately 130 - 150 pounds, and may be bow-legged or have a limp. Another suspect is approximately 6'0" - 6'2" tall, with a large build, and weighs approximately 210 - 240 pounds.
They wear black and red flat brimmed caps with a Chicago Bulls logo, conceal their faces with handkerchiefs and wear dark pants and long sleeves. The light-colored gloves worn by the suspects appear to have a dark rubberized grip.
The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to call the Dallas office of the FBI at 972.559.5000.
