Father Dead After Shooting At Dallas Apartment
DALLAS (AP) -- Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found outside his Dallas apartment.
Dallas police spokesman Gerardo Monreal says the man's 2-year-old daughter was inside the home when her father was shot Saturday afternoon.
The man, whose name was not released, was taken to a Dallas hospital where he later died.
Authorities released the child to her grandfather.
Police say they don't yet know why the man was shot or by whom but homicide detectives remain on the scene gathering information.
