Father Convicted Of Sexually Assaulting 3-Month Old Daughter

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – A Tarrant County jury convicted a father and sent him to prison for life without parole for sexually assaulting his three-month old daughter. It took jurors a little more than an hour to convict and sentence Christopher Miller, of White Settlement, to the maximum punishment for four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of 6.

Prosecutors explained to jurors that 40-year old Miller was addicted to pornography and while watching an adult movie he put his penis in his infant daughter's mouth. Prosecutors say he did this a second time days later. They say he also put his penis between the baby's bottom cheeks while changing her diaper and took a picture of his penis on her vagina.

Miller admitted what he had done to his wife, who did not report it to authorities. He eventually confessed to his church, which contacted Child Protective Services.

This case marks the second time in three weeks that a jury has convicted a Tarrant County man of aggravated sexual assault of a child for performing sex acts on an infant.

On Sept. 20, jurors sentenced David Rucker Jr., 32, of Fort Worth, to 25 years in prison without parole for digitally penetrating a 10-month baby girl who his wife was babysitting.

"The idea that someone would prey upon infants is so horrific that to have two separate cases come to light in such a short time is unfathomable," said Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney Kim D'Avignon. "The juries that heard these cases, and the dedicated detectives who worked them, are forever changed by the evil they became witness to. We are so grateful that justice has been served and these predators are away from children."

In both cases, because the victims were under age 6 at the time they were violated, the defendants faced a punishment range of 25 years to life in prison with no possibility for parole.
