Farmers Branch Police: Off-Duty Officer Involved In Shooting

ADDISON (CBSDFW.COM) — Farmers Branch police said one of their off-duty officers was involved in a shooting Sunday night.
The shooting happened at Marsh Lane and Spring Valley Road in Addison. Farmers Branch Police Detective David Laisure said he was notified of the shooting around 7:30 p.m., and the officer is OK.
One person died and another was injured and taken to Parkland Hospital, according to an official for the city of Addison.
Laisure said both Farmers Branch and Addison police will be handling different parts of the investigation.
