FARMERS BRANCH (CBSDFW.COM) - CBS 11 News has learned that a Dallas County grand jury has indicted Farmers Branch city councilman Floyd Jeffrey Fuller on a theft charge.

Sources told CBS 11 News that, because Fuller is a public official, the theft charge is considered "enhanced" and is classified as a state jail felony.

If convicted, Fuller faces between 180 days and two years in state prison.

The grand jury's action is posted online, but details of the indictment have not been released just yet.

A source said that Fuller is considering resigning from the city council.

Calls made to Fuller have not been returned.

The City of Farmers Branch is not commenting.
