Admit it, you have always wanted to pretend you were either Eliza Doolittle from My Fair Lady, or one of those ladies wearing the big hats to the Kentucky Derby.

While you might not be able to be the star of the show, or even have your mint julep in hand, you can watch some world-class horse racing at Grand Prairie's Lone Star Park.

With an air-conditioned grandstand that can seat 8,000,  a number of luxury boxes, and dining facilities that are second to none, there is plenty to see and do before post time to enjoy a full a day at the races.

Located just off I-30 at Belt Line Road, Lone Star Park has been entertaining race fans with live and simulcasted races since 1997. The 315-acre track offers thoroughbred racing from April to July and quarter horse racing from September to November with a one-mile dirt track that also encircles a turf track.

The Park's simulcast area, the Post Time Pavilion, is open seven days per week year-round, offering simulcast racing action from across the country. The Pavilion opens one hour before the first simulcast race each day.
