"Fan-Fueled Evolution" Changes Coming To TMS

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 NEWS) - Texas Motor Speedway rolled out some changes today for the new race season.

The changes known as "The Fan-Fueled Evolution" come as a result of a Fan Council consisting of current and former season and individual ticket holders.

Eddie Gossage, President of TMS, calls this a fan focused approach, "People think promoting is having the biggest mouth, I will tell you the key to promotion is actually listening."

From price cuts to children's ticket pricing to a new rainout policy to race friendly hotel listings on their website and more will make attending races easier and more fun.

Brenda Baxter, one of the 22 member fan council, can now make going to the races a family affair thanks to the changes.

"We haven't been able to bring our kids to any races in several years because of budget pricing so now we will be able to bring our kids to the track with us."

The other Fan-Fueled Evolution changes include, no smoking in the grand stands, upgrading the backstretch seating experience and even unique race-related experience giveaways for season ticket holders.

Another perk for race fans starting in April will be found at the concession stands, bacon flavored cotton candy.

For the complete list of changes or to find out how you can be a member of the 2013 Fan Council, go to the Texas Motor Speedway website.
