MCKINNEY (CBS 11 NEWS) - The woman who police said kidnapped two children on Wednesday at a Dallas thrift store has a child of her own.

Investigators said Brianah Blount, 23, abducted two young kids from the Garland Road Thrift Store on New Year's Eve while their dad was in the dressing room.

The family of her ex-boyfriend and father of her son said they were not surprised to hear Blount was in trouble with the law. They said she recently moved out of the McKinney home weeks ago and they have not heard much from her since.

Tiara Powell lives at the nearby apartment complex where the kids were found by police.

"She said she had just found them in the parking lot. And that's the lady who was with them yesterday," said Powell.

At first, Powell said Blount seemed to play it off that she had found the two kids.

"She had the kids. I didn't think nothing of it. I thought she had found them walking around the parking lot too," said Powell.

Police painted a much different picture and said Blount had two, prior outstanding warrants for her arrest.

When asked about what will happen to the suspect's child, calls and email to Dallas police and Child Protective Services were not immediately returned.
