KAUFMAN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - A man, woman, teenager and dog made it out of a burning home early Friday morning in the 7500 block of County Road 136 in Kaufman County.

The College Mound Fire Department reports the family's cat did not make it out.

The teenager was treated at a hospital for minor smoke inhalation.

The College Mound Fire Department said the call came in shortly after 12:30 a.m. and firefighters from Terrell Volunteer Fire Department and Kaufman Volunteer Fire Department also battled the fire.

The home suffered major damage and there's no word yet on what caused the fire.

The Kaufman County Fire Marshals Office is investigating.
