Eye On Traffic: May 5-11

The Fresh Beat Band has two shows this Sunday at Verizon Theatre, so there will be big delays through Grand Prairie around the showtimes. If you don't know who The Fresh Beat Band is, then you must not have small children. They're like the younger, slightly hipper Wiggles.
The right lane of Interstate-635 eastbound and westbound will be closed between the Dallas North Tollway and Montfort Drive overnight until May 12. The exit ramp from Interstate-635 eastbound and westbound to Inwood Road/Dallas Parkway will be closed nightly as well until May 13.
The left lane of Northwest Highway from Trammel Drive to Buckner Boulevard will be closed during the day to install new light poles.
Various lanes of Woodall Rodgers Freeway eastbound and westbound will be closed nightly between Highway 75 & Interstate-35E for work on the deck park.
Various lanes of Highway 75 northbound will be closed nightly from Highway 121 to Virginia Parkway. That will start at 9:00 p.m. and clear around 6:00 a.m. the next day.

TARRANT COUNTY

Events: It's Mayfest this weekend, so expect delays traveling in and around downtown Fort Worth. Also expect some delays at University Drive and Interstate-30. (Mayfest hours: Friday - 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. / Saturday - 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. / Sunday - 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
Central Drive at Highway 183 will begin a partial closure Saturday at 9:00 p.m. and run continuously for the next two months. Westbound traffic on Highway 183 will not be able to exit Central Drive. Use Murphy Drive instead. Access will still be available from southbound Highway 121.
Monday at 9:00 p.m. and running continuously for the next two months, the on-ramp from Bedford-Euless Road to southbound Interstate-820 will be closed. Traffic will be diverted to Highway 26, to eastbound Interstate-820, then to southbound Interstate-820.
One of the Direct Connect Ramps will open Saturday at 6:00 a.m. -- from eastbound Highway 114 to southbound Loop 12.
