FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) — An art exhibit documenting the 9/11 attacks is coming to Fort Worth, along with some of the first responders and family members of victims it honors.
The Ground Zero 360 exhibition opens at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center on Jan. 8. Dublin-born photojournalist Nicola McClean's work displays the destruction the attacks caused and the emotions it elicited, including "the sacrifices made by her husband, retired New York City Police Department Deputy Inspector Paul McCormack, and the surviving family members of New York Firefighter Kevin O'Rourke and NYPD Officer Moria Smith," according to organizers.
Highlights include a survivor tree cast from Ground Zero steel and artifacts donated by victims' family members.
McCormack will be present at the opening, along with other first responders and family members of victims.
The Ground Zero 360 exhibition has been displayed in 18 venues around the world, including recently at Jesuit College Prep in Dallas.
