Eric Nadel Elected To Texas Rangers Hall Of Fame

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - On Tuesday the Texas Rangers announced that longtime radio voice Eric Nadel will be the 15th member to be inducted into the Texas Rangers Hall Of Fame.

Nadel, a 34 year member of the Rangers broadcast team, follows behind Johnny Oates (03), Tom Vandergriff (04), Mark Holtz (05) and Tom Grieve (2010) among those who have been elected to the Rangers Hall of Fame in a non-playing role.

Eric joined the Rangers in 1979 as a broadcaster to call games on both radio and TV. He joined Mark Holtz in 1982 for a 13-year span on radio and later became the lead voice on the radio broadcasts. Nadel has continued in that role for the past 18 years.

Nadel has won the Texas Sportscaster of the Year award seven times during his career with the Rangers.

There will be a special on-field ceremony inducting Nadel into the Hall of Fame on Saturday August 11th at Rangers Ballpark prior to the game against the Detroit Tigers.
