FORTH WORTH (CBS 11 NEWS) — The 72nd Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is underway and we're trying to figure out how much bang for your buck you can get at this years event.

Reporter Ken Molestina hit the show with $30 in pocket and found out what's it like to have fun there on a budget.

The most popular food item on the Midway was a corndog and lemonade. The corndog cost $6 while the lemonade cost $5 for a total of $11.

With $19 remaining on the budget Ken found out you can still play a couple of games and get on a ride or two if you buy the tickets individually.

The cheapest keepsake he found were the $3 programs inside rodeo pavilion.

Mother of five, Shawnte Kukono knows all about budgets. When attending the Stock Show & Rodeo she said whatever your budget is simply stick to it and you'll be sure not to break the bank.

She added, "I said okay this is how much money we have. Took just that amount of money and once its done it's done."

The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo runs through February 7.
