Eight-Year-Old Dies In Bike Accident In Frisco
FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - An eight-year-old girl died Saturday after she was hurt in a bicycle accident on a hike-and-bike trail in Frisco.
A spokesman for the city said the accident was reported shortly after 9 a.m. at Northwest Community Park, which opened in October of last year, according to its website. A CareFlite medical helicopter transported Kaylee Mae Kampschroeder to Children's Medical Center in Dallas, where she was pronounced dead.
She was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, a Frisco spokesperson said.
The Frisco Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident on the Northwest Community Park Trail, which opened in October of last year, according to its website.
