East Coast Nor'easter Causing Travel Delays
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Millions of people in New York and New Jersey are still cleaning up after Superstorm Sandy crashed into the east coast last week. But now the area is bracing for a second storm -- this time a nor'easter -- and people traveling from DFW International Airport to the northeast could be experiencing another set of delays and cancellations.
American Airlines has issued an alert for all passengers with plans to travel to the east coast. It says that, due to the severe weather projected for the northeast this week, American Airlines and American Eagle are suspending operations in Philadelphia at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Airports in the New York area will be suspended by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Many flights scheduled for Wednesday have already been canceled, including some before those announced suspension times.
The best advice, as always, is to check with the airline before you head to the airport to ensure that your flight -- no matter where you are flying to on Wednesday or the coming week -- is still projected to depart, and depart on time.
