Drone Wars At The Cavanaugh Flight Museum

If your kids ask for a drone for Christmas this year, it might be more than just another toy to collect dust. Commercial drones sales have grown into a billion dollar industry.
"The drone business, they are saying, is going to be an eighty-nine billion dollar business this next year" said Daniel Redd of RDM Productions.
This weekend the Cavanaugh Flight Museum at Addison Airport is bringing the new technology to the forefront with Drone Wars. It's a head to head drone race with several experience levels.
"We'll have a beginner, intermediate and expert class. And also what they call an FPV class which is first person view." said Scott Slocum, Director of Marketing for the Cavanaugh Flight Museum.
Qualification races are Friday and the main race starts Saturday at 1 pm. JD Ryan is Around Town with high flying fun!
