Driver Injured, Passenger Killed In Oak Lawn Crash
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- A driver was injured and her passenger killed after an unusual crash in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas early Wednesday morning.
According to police, the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Lemmon Avenue near Turtle Creek Boulevard when it hit a curb and left the roadway.
The car flipped and became wedged sideways in between two trees. Much of the car's roof appeared to have peeled off during the crash.
The male passenger of the vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene. The female driver was transported to a local hospital. Her condition is unknown.
The roadway was closed for a few hours Wednesday morning. A wrecker removed the vehicle just before 7 a.m.
