DPD Searching For Metro PCS Armed Robbery Suspects
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas police are trying to identify and locate two men who robbed a Metro PCS business and the customers inside.
The men robbed the store, in the 2600 block of W. Jefferson, on Monday, May 28.
Surveillance video shows the suspects entering the store and one man pointing a handgun at the employees.
During the course of the robbery one suspect went into the back of the store to steal merchandise and the second armed individual remained in customer waiting area.
A customer unknowingly entered the store during the robbery; he had his young daughter with him.
It is believed the customer was told to come inside and sit in a chair. At one point a suspect points the gun at the male customers head and demands his wallet. While the man reaches to get it the suspect then points the gun at his 4-year-old daughter.
During the course of the robbery the suspect in the customer area walks around the store, with his finger on the trigger of the gun, frequently waving the weapon and pointing it at employees and customers.
The robbers got away with an undetermined amount of money and property from the business and cash from store employees and customers. They will be charged with Aggravated Robbery.
The first suspect is described as a black male, standing about 6'0" and weighing some 240 pounds. At the time of the robbery he was wearing long, dark-colored shorts, a black baseball cap and a red t-shirt with a winged design with the words "Red Ape" on the front and back.
The second suspect is also a black male, stands about 5'8" and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He was wearing dark colored pants, a purple or blue colored baseball cap and a white polo-type shirt.
Both suspects had visible tattoos and are believed to have fled from the store in a white-colored 4-door vehicle.
