Downtown Dallas Highrise Fire Quickly Contained
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas firefighters quickly knocked down a fire in the heart of downtown early Friday morning.
There were concerns the restaurant fire near Main and Akard would spread to a high rise next door.
When firefighters arrived at the 3-alarm blaze they reported heavy flames were shooting out of the front windows of the restaurant.
The fire was contained to the Sabor Taco Bar - but smoke did drift into other neighboring businesses.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
