AUSTIN (CBSDFW.COM/AP) - Police say they've found the man suspected of opening fire in a crowded downtown Austin entertainment district and killing a bystander.
The Austin Police Department said U.S. Marshals arrested 24-year-old Endicott McCray in Atlanta on Wednesday morning.
McCray had been wanted since the shooting early Sunday that police say caused "chaos" along Austin's famed Sixth Street -- an area famous for the varied number of music clubs.
Authorities say McCray was likely aiming for someone else when he fired a gun and hit and killed a 20-year-old woman who was downtown with her wife. Three other women were also hospitalized.
A judge this week signed a warrant and set bond for McCray at $2 million.
Court documents show that a witness told police that McCray pulled a handgun out of his waistband and began firing after being shoved by another man.
