Dispute At Pee Wee Football Game Leads To Shooting That Left 2 Injured In Fort Worth
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A woman and a child were injured in a shooting at a pee wee football game in Fort Worth Saturday afternoon during a dispute between parents, police say.
The shooting happened at Eastern Hills High School at around 3:45 p.m. Officials said a woman was shot in the leg while the other victim was injured during the panic caused by the shooting.
The victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Fort Worth ISD said the victim who wasn't shot was a 12-year-old child.
Police say the incident started as a dispute between parents at the football game. According to police, a son of one of the parents involved arrived at the scene with a handgun and started shooting.
The alleged shooter is still on the loose, police say.
Police are still investigating the shooting and are looking into what may have caused the dispute to start.
Fort Worth ISD said the incident happened during a private league football game that was using the school's field.
