Dirk Answers Fan Questions On Periscope
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -Dirk Nowitzki took to Periscope to announce the celebrity players who will participate in this years Heroes Celebrity Baseball game in Frisco on June 27th. While he was on Periscope, he answered fans questions for nearly 15 minutes covering topics like Mark Cuban's body odor, Josh Hamilton's return and his plans after retirement. The highlights are below.
Can I rap?
"Of course, 90s is my rap era. I know every song"
How many shots do I shoot a day?
"Probably a couple hundred when I am really training?"
Who's my favorite teammate?
Top 5 of all time probably include Steve Nash, Finley,
Does Cuban have body odor?
"I'm not sure, I've never been that close to him."
How often do you visit Germany?
"I try to go every summer since my whole family is still over there.
How's your summer going?
"Not bad. Spending some time with the family, working out a little bit. But mostly spending time with the kids, which is fun."
Favorite movie?
"Get to the chopper now maybe (in Arnold Schwarzenegger voice) my boy Schwarzenegger."
Last concert I went to?
"That's a great question. What was at AAC this year? I did not go to the Usher one, no. I did not go to Drake. I didn't go to JT either, but there was something I went to...The Rolling Stones concert I definitely want to go. I've never seen them and I am big fan so I'd love to go to the Stones concert."
Favorite vacation spot?
Anything with a beach.
Would I do some broadcasting after I retire?
Not sure. I'm not really sure what life brings after my career, but I'm sure I will stick around basketball somehow. I'm sure I am staying around Dallas after I retire. I've been here so long. This is partly my home obviously.
If I wasn't a basketball star what would I be doing?
I don't know the tallest painter probably in the world
Take Cuban's spot on Shark Tank?
Sure. I would kick him right off.
Josh Hamilton comment?
I'm happy he's back. I thought he was great for this community and baseball while he was here. I know things got a little ugly when he left, but I think he's fired up to be back and hopefully he's going to play some great baseball."

Who's better in tennis JJ or you?
After the season he came over and I whipped up on him real good, so I got the bragging rights there.
What's my max bench?
Probably 135 at max. I dont even know if I can get that up once.
Who's my pick to win the finals?
I was going to say Cleveland. That was before KLove got hurt. Now I don't know, it might be Golden State. Clippers are playing really well. Memphis is playing well. I don't know.
What the Mavs chances next year?
I have no idea. We have only 4 guys under contract and the rest are free agents, so we are going to hopefully going to sign a couple of new guys and go from there. See if we got a good team again next year.
