Suspicious Bag Causes Headache At DFW
DFW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (CBSDFW.COM) - An abandoned briefcase caused a headache for travelers at DFW International Airport Friday night.
Airport spokesman David Magana says a small black suitcase was found around 4:30 Friday afternoon near the lower level road at Terminal D.
Magana says the bag was found near the gate 30 baggage claim. As a precaution airport police evacuated the area around gates 23-40. Those gates are all operated by American Airlines for domestic flights.
The bag, described by Magana as small enough to fit into the overhead storage bin on an airplane, was determined to be 'benign.' The terminal was cleared around 7:00 Friday night.
