DFW-Bound American Eagle Flight Evacuated In Illinois
SAVOY, Ill. (AP) - Thirty passengers and crew members have been evacuated from an American Eagle flight just before it took off from Willard Airport just outside Champaign.
Airport manager Steve Wanzek told The News-Gazette newspaper in Champaign that the plan was evacuated Monday morning after someone noticed a smell in the cockpit that indicated a possible electrical problem. The plane was about to take off for Dallas-Fort Worth.
Wanzek said no one was injured.
