DFW Airport Investigating Suspicious Bag At Founders' Plaza
DFW AIRPORT (CBSDFW.COM) - Officials at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport are dealing with a 'suspicious circumstance' at Founders Plaza.
Officials at the airport have confirmed that a suspicious package, one bag, was discovered on airport property. Bomb squad technicians are on the scene and used two robots to retrieve the bag. Airport spokesman David Magana said, "We're handling it as we would any suspicious device."
The bag was removed by the airport ordinance disposal unit and is being taken to an undisclosed location to be investigated further.
Magana said he did not know when the bag was found or who alerted authorities about it.
Airport officials said the suspicious package at no time affected flight operations and posed no threat to workers or passengers.
