North Dallas Home Lost To Fire

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A Dallas home is a complete loss after being consumed with flames.

Members of Dallas Fire Rescue battled the fire the 3-alarm house fire in North Dallas Friday night.

The blaze, in the 6300 block of Royalton Drive, was reported just after 7 p.m.

The fire quickly spread, engulfing the large two-story house. Records show the approximately 6,000 square foot property, built in 2007, is valued at $1.5 million.

At around 8 p.m. there was a loud crash heard as the front wall of house collapsed.

By 8:15 p.m. there were at least nine fire engines on the scene. Firefighters say, the first report was that the blaze started in back of house.

Witnesses told CBS 11 News they were attending a party at the house when the fire broke out.

Firefighters have extended ladders to try and get water to the top of the blaze.

So far there have been no injuries reported.
