Derrick Voted Winner Of "Big Brother"
LOS ANGELES (CBS NEWS) - After the longest season in the reality television show's history, "Big Brother" season 16 has come to an end, and a new winner has been selected from the houseguests. Derrick, the undercover cop who successfully hid his job from the entire house, was crowned the champion.
At 97 days and 40 episodes, season 16 was a long, mostly surprise-free journey towards a destination that most audience members seemed to know was inevitable. And, after a lengthy finale, we got the outcome that pretty much every had the safe money on.
The final three had come down to Cody, Derrick and Victoria. But after a three-part Head of Household competition, Cody single-handedly evicted Victoria, leaving the alliance of Derrick and Cody -- which they dubbed The Hitmen -- heading into jury questioning. The former houseguests then voted to determine which man would win.
